The People
The JWST project in Canada is led by Principal Investigator René Doyon, based at UdeM. The Project Scientist is Chris Willott at NRC-HAA. The Canadian Space Agency is funding the FGS/NIRISS project and the instrument was built, tested and maintained by Honeywell corporation (formerly Comdev). CSA is funding full-time NIRISS instrument scientists at UdeM and STScI. The below table lists people that are or have been (as of January 2021) involved in the science planning and operations of NIRISS. Several people in the project management (at Honeywell and the CSA) may be missing from this table.
